It's what greeted me just outside my living room window this morning ... It's melting quickly, but still, temperatures are a lot lower than yesterday.

I'm not sure I would have been able to guess what this 'was' without your explanation, Andrew - but the photograph is phenomenal. And beautifully processed, too. It makes me think of some pieces I've seen in great modern art museums, it has visual and spatial qualities which make me keep on staring at it. Great image.

Spot on, exactly my first thought - which simply underlines the quality of the image; the frame is uncanny, very well seen.

This Yucca plant had been with us for more that 30yrs. The hard freeze in Feb took it down. It was too big to bring in out of the cold. But I have hope that it may yet rise up.

Outside a very old out-building, is a nearly-just-as-old manual lawn mower, that was rescued from beneath a small mountain of ivy and dirt where it had lain (hibernating?), for decades. Now it sits out in fresh air, possibly storing up solar energy for a future tour of duty.
