One of those many examples where the cover is more intense than the original. Joe Cocker's version of "With A Little Help From My Friends" and Janis Joplin's "Me And Bobby McGhee" showed what potential can be in a song. In comparison, Kristoffersen's original version was almost a sleeping car.

I love the music but feel a bit helpless with the lyrics (not your fault, Matt ... maybe it's because I'm a bit far 'on the wrong side of forty').

Walking around the small town where I live. And suddenly I was reminded of the old saying, "The best things in life are free" - which refers to the fact that some important things, money can't buy. But then again, there are also other things that, literally, may also be 'free' as well. And, regardless of philosophy, I have always been fascinated by mirrors. Good thing I had a camera with me.

I'm pretty sure I prefer the original. But the other version ain't half bad
