The light in this photograph is really something. Or rather, it is really many things - subtle, rich, evocative, mysterious, and compelling. Even though I dislike the expression, I think this photograph must have been 'nicely seen', in the mind's eye of the photographer, just before you took the picture.
Lately it has been gray and overcast in southern Oregon, raining, foggy, and threatening snow. But in the universal grayness which seems to have descended on the local towns, there are still signs that Halloween, though it has passed, has not been forgotten. Including this skull which I saw today, on someone's front porch.
