the last to fall

In the rural (and very pretty) area of southern Oregon where I live, we frequently see various raptors - red-tail hawks, the occasional owl, other hawks seasonally - but not as many eagles. This morning was an exception: a large adult bald eagle came to rest atop a large tree more than a quarter mile away. Even with a 1.5x teleconverter on the tele end of the zoom of my (recently acquired) Olympus Stylus 1S, it was still small in the frame. But I like this image so much that I haven't done any cropping to it whatsoever (something most bird & wildlife photographers do as a matter of course).
