Back to work for me - and just as a heads-up: I may have to skip the odd welcome video in the next few weeks - it's promising to become pretty busy.

I'll do all I can to keep on shooting and posting, though.

I love this particular piece by the Ukelele Orchestra of G.B., Matt - and it reminds me of nothing so much as a number of great, classic 'Jug Band' songs from bygone years and eras - with the proviso that of course, 'Jug Band Music' is nothing if not a compilation of blues, jazz and folk music, with a million and one musical detours along the way. The other thing that really strikes me about this piece at moments is how much the Uke's sound like mandolins, especially on some of the very cool solos.

On the theory that one good piece of music deserves another, although this is non-photography related, I'm attaching the clip of a performance featuring Mike Marshall, who has been a virtuoso mandolinist for some time now, playing in a duet with singer/songwriter Sarah Jarosz, on her original composition, Mansineedof. It's worth listening to....again and again.

Marvellous, thanks for sharing! And they do also use one of my favourite riffs on stringed instruments ... See tomorrow's thread :)

(And yes, I did listen to it three times in a row and saved it to my "Music" playlist for tunes to revisit!)

Hardly any time to shoot today, so I decided to push it - and went out with the Z 7 II and the Z 50mm f/1.2 S in the overcast and hence murky dark ...

(Forum compression hasn't be too nice to the silouettes of the trees on the right, but I'll leave it as is ... it's subtle at best, maybe too much so for online display.)
