Thanks. I'm not necessarily a collector, nor is there a lot in the cabinet. The things in there all are connected to memories, people, etc. The cabinet itself may be the most significant. It was originally my grandfather's who as an avid hunter and fisherman. This was his gun cabinet. After he passed my father repurposed it, adding two glass shelves and grandma used it as a curio cabinet. I ended up with it and it served a few uses before it landed in the basement unused and gathering dust. A couple of years ago I decided that it should be a multi use photography cabinet. The top shelf has a few antiques, trinkets, etc, the middle varies depending on my mood, and the bottom has tripods, lenses not in the bag, etc. The bottom drawer has books, manuals, etc. It still has its skeleton key and the door and drawer still lock.
The fact that it went from holding tools that shoot, back to tools that shoot, albeit differently, is not lost on me.
It’s pretty bare in this shot. It has since accumulated gear, etc.
