So it is a nice day and I should be outside, but a family member has had a heart attack and stroke (survived with surgery) and I am waiting to see if I need to jump on an airplane. So I'm working on a paleontology presentation for a group. Today I decided to try one of the many options I have for macro shoots. This is from the Pany 35-100 f2.8 with a Canon 500d using focus stacking with the 6K setting on my G9, I should have manually chosen the focus points as auto didn't use enough of them. But its ok for what it is. This is from a fairly shallow, near shore environment from the Pittsburg formation (eocene, 35-30 myr). The large items are casts that formed from inside the shell that has dissolved.
