These look really well made. Someone local?
Different places, different times. L-R: Pink Ivory box from Kris Sacksteder from his (now closed?) Weird Woods gallery in Pike Place Market, Seattle; Maple and Koa box from Michael Lee, Hawaii; Juniper box by Tom McMahon, San Juan Islands. The first is a rare and extremely dense wood. It weighs more than the other two put together.

Nothing beats good handcrafted woodwork. It's not only the look of these objects, it's the feeling as well when you touch them. I couldn't resist buying some of these beauties but unfortunately we bought most of them as present for others.
So the only wood I can touch every day are my two beautiful guitars ... which offer great sounds in addition.
