I've taken Keesha to many places but have never taken Jadey anywhere, not even to the vet. Touch wood, she's been of good health in all of her 12-13 years of life so far.

She looked playful and energetic last night...

....so I decided to take her to the suburban shops in the early hours of the morning while everything's closed and not a soul in sight. The suburban shops weren't too from where we live so we walked it. She was nervous at first when we got there but she followed me and became quite curious as we walked past the shops. She'd stop to look in the windows to see what's inside. I'll let the photos tell the story.

We came across a very surprised and confused cat on our walk back home.

I feel like I took the walk with you!

I don't believe it is so common to have a cat which will take long walks like a dog will. I've had several cats that would, but more that would turn back after awhile.

Thanks for taking us along.

When Jadey was a tiny kitten, she used to perch on my shoulder when I took the dogs out for a walk so she's always come on walks with us from a very young age. In fact if I left her behind, she'll run out the back door and jump fences to catch up with us down the street meowing in protest at being left behind.
