I'm sure that anyone who uses any Topaz software has seen this in email from Topaz. I did and missed the original Oct. 3rd deadline. The offer has now been extended until October 7th.
The deal is a substantial discount on your first auto renewal ($84 in the case of Photo AI) and then 15% off on all subsequent auto renewals. Certainly a good deal if you were going to keep your license current anyway.
There does seem to be some confusion concerning how this works for some people. I wrote this on another site:
Not a subscription (yet at least), but rather a fairly healthy discount offer to get you to keep your perpetual license always on the newest release. A bit confusing but maybe best explained like a magazine subscription auto-renewal. Keep renewing and new issues keep coming, stop renewing and all the past issues are yours to keep.

I wasn't due for renewal yet so here is how it worked for me when I signed up.
I had to give them credit card info for the auto renewal but my charge today was zero since I am not yet due for renewal.
On August 3rd, 2025 (when my current term expires) I will be charged $84. That will buy me another year of upgrades.
On August 3rd every year going forward I will be charged 15% less than the current renewal price for another year of upgrades.
I can cancel the auto renewal at any time and whatever version is issued before my renewal date is mine to keep.
I think it's worth doing, at least for now, given how quickly updates keep coming on Photo AI. Without this I may have tried saving a little bit of cash be letting the updates expire for a few months but I almost certainly would wind up updating. Now at least I get a great discount on the first update and (if they keep their word) a 15% discount perpetually.
