Treated Myself to a New Laptop

I have been thinking about picking up a base 14-inch MacBook Pro for several months. But then Costco had a sale on what I call the "base upgrade" model on Apple's website. That is to say, the version with the 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU (two steps up from the stock base model), 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Never mind the arguments over 16 GB vs. 32 GB of RAM. I've seen enough evidence that 16 is enough for me.
That's pretty much the path I've taken. The rest is only due to the memory capacities, which are outrageously expensive, but are necessary when it comes to process speed. This can become absolutely necessary, especially when editing video with professional programs for 4K and more.
