The result of 3 straight mornings of removing large surface roots left behind after two very large trees were removed from the hillside above our garage in February 2023. It took 3 trips of the wheelbarrow to trundle them to the edge of the woods below the house and toss them down over the hill.

Day 4 of root removal. I used my angle grinder and carving wheel to flatten the huge surface roots left over after the removal of the 100 foot Sweetgum tree next to our garage. Most of the roots were heavily spalted and punky, making the task much easier than it was when I first attempted it right after the tree was felled in Feb 2023. This set of roots was too large to be dug out and/or cut. Go mycelia!
