Some ago I bought a travel zoom. Thought it could come in handy on vacation trips where you want convenience and not change lens often. The days of between christmas and new year was the time. We went to Tenerife for one week. Have visited most of the canary islands but not Tenerife so it was very exciting to finally come to the biggest island of them. We settled for Puerto de la Cruz which lies on the north side. Was around the town a little, the animal park 'Loro Parque' is there so that was mandatory to visit of course. We also rented car for three days to see us around the island a little.
Normally we like to stay in calm places with not so much tourists, less exploited places. Somewhat difficult to find such place on this island, at least when you buy a charter trip. But we was around a little and found great spots on the island. There is many nice beaches and by car you can get to the nicest ones. The nature is really spectacular. It is quite a green island. Compared to Gran Canary island which is our favorite. More like La Palma. You can find all sorts of nature here, even snow when we went up the road to Teide, the third biggest volcano on earth (3718 metre). The road from Teide northeast is totally awesome by the way, there were many nice places you found driving around. There was just a little too much traffic. Many cars everywhere and they drive quite fast, if you are navigating a city be prepared to get angry looks from locals that just wanna get through 🙂 anyway. There is lots to discover. One week is not much but at least we got some grasp of how it is there. Very nice island but I think we wont return there, we like it more relaxed.
Anyway, the lens was great actually. It is the Nikon Z DX 18-140/3.5-6.3. It has great range and very good close-up capabilities. Wide angle lacks a little but I had the Laowa 10/4 cookie in my bag as well. Never used it though 🙂 the phone is more handy to grab when you need an occasional UWA shot. Well, here are some pics.
