Leica unload Nikon for M8.2/M9 or M240

In the shot of the boy- looks like focus is on the eyes, looks good to me.

The vertical alignment can throw the focus off at certain distance- normally you set vertical alignment and then horizontal alignment. I've never had to adjust an M-Mount camera, a special tool is required. Youxin could do this for you, as it is the same as the film M cameras.

yeah thats what i was aiming for -

just challenging in low light to see the contrast - which is why i think i'd benefit from a VF magnifier - and if i can sort out that (what appears to be) vertical shifting.

the best way i can describe it - imagine you are bringing an image into focus as the two images line up - you get them lined up on the horizontal plane - but can see some vertical "ghosting/shadowing" as if there was a way to adjust the focus on a/b and x/y and you had 1 lined up, but the other was off a little... does that make sense?

That is exactly it: there is an adjustment port under the "RED LEICA DOT", but it takes a special tool to adjust. You can find on Ebay. You could also ask Youxin about doing it, I am sure would not be expensive.
