Very common expression here in The Netherlands, to be found at stations, schools, hospitals etc. Indeed it's meant for spaces where you can drop off or pick up people, but no parking, not even waiting too long for someone. Come to think of it, would be a nice theme actually.View attachment 481831
It took me a while to make sense of this (I had all sorts of weird ideas, to be honest), but then it dawned on me: This is a drop-off zone near a local high school ... It's meant to mean "don't linger", I think.

That's actually a delightfully humorous bit of unintelligible regional expressionism.Very common expression here in The Netherlands, to be found at stations, schools, hospitals etc. Indeed it's meant for spaces where you can drop off or pick up people, but no parking, not even waiting too long for someone. It took me literally months to work out what "K&R" meant when painted on the road surface here. That's actually a delightfully humorous bit of unintelligible regional expressionism.
What does it say? I can only read "Kiss and ... ?" can't make out the last word, which would be quite important, I'm sureView attachment 481831

Aaah, that makes more sense than runHere in the Netherlands it’s Kids & Ride!
What gives the game away here is the actual street signs (on posts) outside schools that actually state "Kiss and Run" on them. When painted on the road surface parking lots, they are just "K&R".Aaah, that makes more sense than run
