Venice - I'm going, rain or not

So in a moment it's Sunday morning, and the sky promises hell.
Ten minutes on the bridge by train, and we step out of the station, and left.

It sure looks heavy.

And Venetians prepare to leave, for vacations. Maybe Greece?

When I see the sign I'm happy. It's more than 20 years that I don't step inside and enjoy meters and meters of Tintoretto, and a couple of Tiziano thrown in. Very cohesive imaging, the Scuola Grande di S. Rocco has the right answer in this light.

And then, here they are. Almost skating, gliding.

Water, street

After a few solid hours inside the Scuola Grande di S. Rocco we cross the square, spend minutes in the church of the Scuola, and wait at the door for the rain to stop.

It doesn't, we move. It's water anyway.

The rest is walking, walking, walking and chatting.

Or eating, in style

And see others enjoying their time together.
Women party, together all day, all Venetians.
Check the faces: the Latin, the Celt, the Illirian, the Mainlander Italian, the German, the Slav, the Greek - I love this city.
