Anyone interested in this lens? IQ looks acceptable for what it is. It'd be a nice compact lens on a C or APS-C. Aperture is fixed. Built in lens cap. Supposed to be just south of $100 US. Might be a fun lens, I've never had a pancake.

Got my fingers crossed that it's a good 'un and that maximum F4.5 aperture makes me optimistic. I'm following this as it's a lens which will probably end up being available for Nikon Z.

I own one 28mm prime, an old JC Penny lens in Minolta MD. It's the size of this I find interesting. It isn't going to mean much on my full-size bodies, but it'd be a fun 42mm on my A6000. Still haven't decided, I'm curbing my gear spending some, trying to hold off for something I really need in one of the rumored lenses.

Well, the deals went early! There were only 50 available at 30% off, then more at 15%, and now there are a bout 900 at 10% off. Not worth it, I'll wait and see man on the street shots first.

My obsessive compulsiveness won't allow non Sony lenses into my kit. It's a pity because there is some good stuff to be had..!

Still think the 24, 40 and 50mm Sony G lenses are exceptional. Might take my 40mm out this weekend actually. 🌞

So now that it's hit the market and there are real-word users, turns out there's a fatal flaw. The lens has a built-in lens cap that is opened with a slide switch on the front of the lens. If you turn the camera on with the cap closed (and who has ever done that, right?) you can damage the lens. Given that, this is off my radar. Hopefully they'll fix this.
