Infrared Images Visible+Infrared with the Leica M8.

Product of the Fifties
The Leica M8 has a relatively week IR absorbing filter with a 5% leakage in the IR. An Orange filter blocks Blue light and about 1/2 of Green light. These are shot using RAW mode to get uncompressed DNG files, then the Blue and Green channels are equalized with Red. The result is IR in the Blue channel, Vis+IR in the green channel, and RED in the red channel. Red and Blue channels swapped when creating a new DNG file to make IR look red.

Red filter- blue/red channels swapped. The Red filter eliminates green and blue. The IR sensitivity of the Blue and Green picks up at different wavelengths. Experimenting, I got best result with the Orange filter.
