Visiting Egypt - Need advices!

Hey guys, I'm starting to plan a trip to Egypt in May and would love some input on what to see and do from those of you who have been. My schedule is pretty open still. What are some top destinations for great photography... both iconic sights and any lesser known spots? Also, any local etiquette tips or foods I shouldn't miss out on? Hoping to experience the culture while taking in the history and beauty of the places. Any hidden gems off the main trail too? Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

It is a very long time since my visit to Egypt. But I would recommend in Cairo the Museum (a new one since my visit), the Pyramids and markets. Then fly to Aswan for a Nile river cruise - Aswan to Luxor, and see the Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the High Dam, Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk, Kom Ombo, Edfu.

Thanks so much for the great Egypt recommendations! It sounds like you had an amazing trip before. I also made a research also about what to do in Egypt I think your recommendations was mentioned here https://gowithguide.com/blog/egypt-tourism-statistics-2023-all-you-need-to-know-5312 and I I love the idea of mixing in some time in vibrant Cairo with the museums and markets, along with a cruise down the legendary Nile between Aswan and Luxor. All those temples, tombs and monuments you listed would be incredible to experience. A Nile cruise is such a unique way to relax while visiting multiple locations too. Egypt really does have so much rich culture and beauty to offer travelers. I'll have to keep these tips in mind :care: thanks for sharing your memories and advice from your trip so long ago!
