Since there is no showcase for this lens yet, I thought I could as well start one.

Sun shines inside the tunnel below our local railway line, casting a nice, natural frame.

Stopped down, this lens can be sharp even at closer distances.

Somebody placed the seat of some old buggy on a fence post, again shot wide open.

I honestly don't know how these plants are called, during spring time they are literally everywhere around here. A shot at fairly close distance stopped down quite a bit to f2.8 - the lens get's significantly sharper, especially at close distances once stopped down to at least f1.8.

Some more from a walk yesterday:

A close-up of some buds at f4, it seems to be very sharp, despite the close focusing range.

Another rather close one, but taken wide open this time.

Yet another one taken at f1.2 but this time at a more distant range - looks pretty good in my opinion.

The lens can render some very nice sun stars.

I like these results quite a bit! The flare in that sunstar shot is present and easily noticeable, but not as extreme as what I've seen from the Voigtlander 35/1.2. I'm personally currently more interested in the 50mm equivalent field of view than 35mm equivalent, and the 35/1.2 would be a contender if it wasn't for the flare, as I shoot against the light quite frequently.

I never used the 35mm Nokton, however the 23mm flares quite easily as you can see in the shot, I have noticed it a few times already but can't provide any more samples at the moment. Yesterday I was out in the evening for a short photo stroll, but the sun was too clouded to produce any lens flares.

Wide open impression of a cornfield:

Close-up of a bug, if you look carefully, you might also spot a spider.

A top-down close-up of a wildflower, taken at f1.8 - that aparture kind of seems to be the spot where the lens starts to lessen the otherwise soft and dreamy rendering.

Just another addition I forgot is this silhouette shot, again wide open. Focus was on the powerpole in the background, with most of the built-in assist modes like Splitview, Color Highlights or Prism, I've noticed it is very challenging nailing focus from all infinity to "far away". Disabling those and just check with magnification seems to be more efficient.

I just noticed DXO actually has added lens correction profiles for their PhotoLab software, it is at least supported along with my X-Pro3.

Some examples from a longer walk yesterday, indian summer - or Altweibersommer as we call it here - is in full swing and we've had beautiful weather since more than a week with partly some actually hot temperatures.

Sun is setting earlier by the day, I almost forgot about this when stroling through the woods.
