As I was leaving this morning to shoot a lacrosse scrimmage my son was playing in, I decided to NOT take my Sony A9 and 100-400GM, and instead try out my new XPRO2 and 55-200XF. I have to say I was amazed at the ease of use and the quality of the files! These are jpgs with a touch of crop and color work, but very, very little. No more than my with my Sony files. I thought this wasn't a sports camera. It might not be a Nikon D5 or Sony A9, but it held its own nicely for my use. This was a very overcast day, btw.
I'm still learning this camera, so put it in my AUTO2 ISO with a range of 200-1600, and then Shutter Priority at 1/2000 (I like the feet and sticks sharp), and Pattern metering. I still choose my AF point in AF-S, just my preference after years of experimenting. After years of Nikon FF, then Sony, this amazes me from an APS-C sensor!
