Wandering around Melbourne

We spent last week in Melbourne for the Australian Open. While we were there primarily for the tennis, Melbourne is one of my favourite cities, so I spent plenty of time just wandering with my trusty X10.

Edit: OK, I've just noticed that 3 of these 4 images show excessive slanting - I didn't realise I did that so often!

the last 2 look like they were intentionally tilted and I think it works because the tilt is strong enough to intentional (even if it wasn't). The second one I would straighten. They're very nice. I hope to visit Melbourne one day, but ti's soooooo far away.

I agree with Luke that the last two work with the slant effect. I get very finicky with my own photos which get rotated down to the quarter degree if they aren't exactly right. I would rotate #2 because the slant is such that it looks more like a mistake than an artistic choice (love the lighting and high key look in this one by the way). If it were me I might also play with the vertical perspective on #1 just for kicks, but the current version it is not at all bad since the perspective distortion cements the impression of looking down as opposed to looking out across the city.
