Fuji Washed battery

I put my Fuji battery through a short 40 degree wash cycle (60 min) it included 2 rinse cycles and a 1400rpm spin.
Chuck it or dry it and try it ?

Dry and try. If it's gone, no harm done. It could have short-cirquited already - but realistically, if you can charge it after drying it, it shouldn't damage the camera. I wouldn't put it straight into the camera, though.

Do you have an airing cupboard where you can gently dry out the battery over a few days? I've known this method work for mobile phones that have been accidentally soaked.

A jar of rice if you dont have an airing cupboard. Might get lucky and soak up the extra moisture if anything got anywhere ti shouldnt have

Same - rice in a ZipLock bag. Get all the air out (or as much as you can) shove the batt deep in the middle so it's surrounded on all sides. Leave it in there for about a week. I almost lost two batteries when I got soaked in a downpour and couldn't move from my shooting position this summer. All ok and I kept it in there for about 10 days.

As somebody from the US you guys made me do a Google search to find out what an "airing cupboard" is.

it's nearly as difficult to find a phone booth these days as it is an airing cupboard

Some people here have a tradititional airing cupboard (where the hot water cylinder lives) and some don't, hence my question. An improvised shelf above a radiator would work just as well - the gentle warmth is the important point. I believe the rice method works well too.

I know that word! My grandmother said it so much when I was very young that I learned it ...... and used it too!
