Back in SiJ '19, I shared 31 days worth of images from my workshop, as I worked through a couple of projects. I put the finishing touches on the nylon string tenor guitar this morning. Almost a year in the making, I stumbled a few times, backpedaling to correct mistakes I had made, including having to carve an entirely new neck when I incorrectly measured the first one. But here it is. My first completed instruments were a lot of work, but both had either pre-bent sides or a rough cut neck. This is the first instrument I have built 100% from raw wood.

I just strung it less than an hour ago, so I’ll be constantly retuning for a few days as the nylon classical strings settle in. I’m pumped though, and the next project has already begun.

It's really beautiful, Tony. Beyond the joy of building something from scratch, how does it sound/play ?
Thanks Luke. It sounds very nice. The action is just a bit higher than I had originally planned, but manageable. It has quite a bit of volume for a small guitar, even unplugged.
