The theme for our first 5DC is "Unusual Shapes". The "rules" are outlined in the Sticky Thread above.

The Poll is now set up for voting. All members who participated in this 5 DC may now vote for one of the submitted photographs.

**A note to let everyone know that since we were able to set things up earlier than expected, the voting via this Poll will be possible from now, approximately 8pm New York time and will close on Sunday at 8am, New York time.

This carved wood statue is in the shape of a chimney the area of Whiston was first farming way back in the middle ages, then began mining to make pottery and bricks.
This is all carved into the 'chimney' which stands at the entrance to a large wildlife park that was until fairly recently 15/20 years a council rubbish dump.

I call this 'Nine'. Taken with the Ricoh GRD III and the 21mm adapter, IIRC. Love this camera.

    Hey All,

I'll toss one in. G1 and I'd have to look up the other details.

Here's one from my archives ... I have to admit I couldn't wrap my head around "unusual shape" ... too abstract for my linear accounting mind :)  It's the backrest of my dining room chair.

you should be able to figure it out...
This is the catenary near our almost local rail station. You can see the train along the bottom left, but you might not have known what it was...
