Westerly Falls

My bike ride along Paint Creek this morning took me past Westerly Falls. The flow of Paint Creek was the best I've seen in a long time, high but not muddy, and the falls were roaring. In some of these images I was just a few feet away, enjoying the thunder and the spray. Mixture of X30 and X-E1 pics.

I love how water looks in pictures, where the white comes in. It almost looks like foam!

I had planned that, but went off and left my ND filter at home, and the sky over the falls was wide open and bright. Time to go back to using a checklist!

A bit colder yesterday (16F), but I still did a 7.5 mile out-and-back ride along the creek on my Fat Bike. The falls looked nice. It was completely overcast for the first 3 images, then the sun was shining brightly on the return leg:
