Finally picked up The Dresden Files, which has been on my to-read pile for ages!
There are 2 more books in the series after Exit Strategy, a full length novel called Network Effect and another novella, Fugitive Telemetry. Martha Wells was interviewed last year and says she has been contracted for 3 more Murderbot books!Just picked up the latest edition in the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. It's called "Exit Strategy".
Added the series to the Amazon wish list. Thanks!Just picked up the latest edition in the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. It's called "Exit Strategy".
Recently finished Celine by Peter Heller. A really good novel of an aging private eye couple sensitively written, based on the author's own mother, who seems to have led a pretty extraordinary life. This guy can really write compelling narratives.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Miguel! His other books are excellent as well. The Dog Stars was my first Peter Heller book. It's a little different, as a post-apocalyptic wasteland sort of book which is also surprisingly lyrical and emotive.Thank you for mentioning this, Andrew. I just gave in to overwhelming curiosity and picked up a copy from my local small-town library. And you are right - Peter Heller is indeed a master of compelling narratives.
It's a brilliant book, Andrew, even though it's been around 50+ years since I read it. Enjoy!I've been really appreciating Travels with Charley by Steinbeck.

A favorite series of mine! Too bad it's not in print anymore; there are some brilliant science fiction tropes developed for the books.Hammer's Slammers
