What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

Never watched it on television back in the day, I was a little young for it. But since finding it half a dozen years ago or so, I can't go without it for long. The dark and rainy Vancouver seasons especially!
I watched it when I was a kid, on and off as I didn't know it was a series and it had plots and subplots. Some of the episodes I have seen have terrified me as a kid and I even had an irrational fear of meat from one of the episodes (luckily I overcame it).
I have rewatched the series so many times I lost count now. I still do it at least once every 2 years.

One down, 3 more to go, got all the collectables, got all the upgrades, done all the perks and finished the game on Uber.

We've relapsed into co-op Ghost Recon - Breakpoint lately.
After someone mentioned it, I decided to give Remnant - From the Ashes one more try.
This game made me rage-quit several times in the past as I always seemed to come up against Gorefist as the first random boss. I just didn't see the fun in this game killing me over 20 times in a row.
Doing a co-op play-through with a friend, it actually gave us another first boss that was much easier to deal with.
Eventually going back to my own game with a much better equipped character I did manage to beat Gorefist.....after getting killed another 5 times in a row....
Am now much further along in the game, having defeated the Undying King and fought my way through the swamp of Corsus.
Still at least two more worlds to go before the end game.
I like the gameplay, apart from the weird difficulty scaling.

At the suggestion of another player I've also picked up Killing Floor 2. It is a bit dated now, but I find the gun play is excellent.
And the game offers constant progression, which I like. Not sure how long the single game type would be interesting though.

I have taken a massive detour in my playthough of the Wolfenstein series because if Quake II.

I've played this game so many times I know everything about it BUT it got an amazing remastered update and it looks awesome (not the RTX kind). Improved quality of life features updates included and if you own the game on Steam you get the update for free. I can't recommend it enough, the gameplay stands up even to this day.

I've been playing on my new 144 Hz 27 inch 1080p IPS (160 £) monitor and it's buttery smooth and awesome. I already finished the main story and one expansion and in the progress of the 2nd expansion and I can't wait to play the brand new expansion that comes with the update.

I can confirm that the new Double Dragon Game is a fun little romp! If you like the best em up genre, you’ll probably like this installment.

I also got the updated version of TMNT best em up. Also very fun.

All of these are the PS5 versions.

I still play Streets of Rage 4 on my XBOX one S ocassionally. Graphically very cool, difficulty level is up there, but I like the challenge.

I love Streets of Rage on my Switch. I will be on the look out for Double Dragon and TMNT, just need to find cartridge versions, I don't trust Nintendo with download only games.

Diablo IV. Level 67 Rapid fire Rogue just in Torment level. Pretty rough but item drops are getting interesting.
My kids have dropped out with other things like school/work and my oldest is planning a wedding so I'm solo but I dig it.

I would love to get into Diablo IV at some point, maybe there's going to be a discount this Halloween, a nice birthday gift to myself :)

Played some coop Shoota's, Blood and Teef yesterday. It had been a few months since this game dropped and I had finished the play-through already, but my friend had not.
It was a bit of chaotic fun that took us away from our regular coop gaming.

I am hyped (and I don't often get hyped) for Alan Wake 2. The original is one of my favorite games of all time, and one which I've played through 5-6 times, I have lost count.

With as wonderful as Control is, it really telegraphs how refined and mature Remedy's current tech and storytelling/world-building has become. If Alan Wake 2 isn't a near-masterpiece, I'll be not only disappointed, but quite surprised.

Survival horror games were a fascination of mine back in the day, though I needed friends around to be able to complete the likes of Clock Tower 3, Silent Hill 2 and 3, and Fatal Frame 2. These days, they're just too much stress. But I'll make an exception to return to Bright Falls and The Dark Place.

Started playing Minecraft again, made a new world and I'm building up a Halloween themed medieval village and castle next to a cherry blossom forest. I forgot how relaxing and OCD-itch scratching is to play Minecraft.

And I am getting excited about the upcoming DLC for Minecraft with official D&D RPG mechanics and questing as an add-on to the normal Minecraft mechanics so I can go on a adventure once in a while.

Got back into playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands for a bit. Created a new Clawbringer class character a while ago, but never progressed beyond the tutorial.
Normally I'm not much into Fantasy games, but Wonderlands offers a good mix of Fantasy hack&slash and sci-fi gun play. And some of the banter is pretty funny.

"A fallen tree bars your way, whatcha gonna do about it?!"
"I cast Identify Tree"
"It's a species known as Jumpus Tutorialis, and WEIRDLY it only grows in this one valley"

Also picked up Xenoraid by 10ton Games. I've played Tesla Vs. Lovecraft and Tesla Force by them in the past and they are fun games (for me).
this one is a top-down scrolling space invaders shooter from a few years back.
It adds the twist to the genre that you get to shift between 4 different space fighters during the game (a bit like in the original Xenon game, IIRC), each with their own upgrades/weapons, and the switch-over allows you to dodge enemy craft, fire and asteroids.

And we're still playing co-op Ghost Recon - Breakpoint. Mainly just murder-hoboing our way around Auroa and Golem Island, plundering enemy bases and factories.

Recently our Tuesday "Board Game Nights" have been filled with playing Perdition's Mouth - Abyssal Rift
We restarted the campaign 3 weeks ago, after our previous party accrued too many injuries. This game punishes players by giving persistent injuries between the scenarios (with only limited options on curing them). And it gives players very little in way of improving their characters along the way, mainly from treasure items or boons.

We played a couple of games of Quicksand at the end of the evening. Moving hourglasses around a track by matching colors or shapes, flipping the hourglasses over. You lose if the sand in any of the hourglasses runs out before you've completed getting all of them to the end of the track. Pretty hectic. Not something I'd want to play for more than 30 minutes in a row.

Tomorrow evening we're playing Arkham Horror again. Just the base game without any expansions, which is considerably tougher as I recall.

Our current co-op game on Playstation is Aliens - Fireteam Elite, that is free with PS+ this month.

Not sure how good the endgame is going to be, but co-op is fun so far.
The game contains a number of scripted maps strung together into a campaign, with a progressive element to improve you character (and the classes) similar to Killing Floor 2

I hear Darktide is a better game overall, but that won't appear on Playstation for a good long while....

I've replayed the original F.E.A.R. game on Halloween, one of the best and most fun FPS of all time. Tried to replay the expansions but because of compatibility problems couldn't finish either of the games (they are getting old). (Don't get me started on F.E.A.R. 2 and F.3.A.R. I hate them so much I won't acknowledge they even exist).

Also replayed Half-Life 2 (with Episodes 1 and 2) and I am currently replaying Black Mesa (Half-Life 1 remake), enjoying the 120 FPS gameplay for the first time on a high refresh rate monitor.

I'm immersed in Alan Wake 2, which is shaping up to be a better sequel than I could have hoped for. The original game was a quirky masterpiece which pushed storytelling boundaries in games. It had strong Stephen King and Twin Peaks vibes. But this sequel is not only one of the best looking games I've ever seen, but also absolutely bonkers in the best way, leaning heavily into The X-files, David Lynch and True Detective. It's a horror game, but I almost forge to be scared, I'm so happy to be playing it.
