Sony What type of SD card?

Howdy all, as of today I'm both a new member of this forum and a new RX100 owner!

Anyhow, I want to get a proper SD card for my new camera so I wanted to know if the card's write speed will have any bearing on the camera's performance. Any help on this would be appreciated, thank you!

always. Every time I buy a faster card, I notice better performance from every camera I've tried. I just bought a couple of these Amazon.com: SanDisk Extreme 16 GB SDHC Class 10 UHS-1 Flash Memory Card 45MB/s SDSDX-016G-AFFP: Computers & Accessories and I am FLYING now.....the buffer definitely clears faster.
