What's on your wishlist?

The 1"sensor Nikon compact with a 6.7-18.5mm f/1.8-2.8 lens (18-50 f/4.9-7.6 equivalent) that's about to be announced in the next few days - provided that it has decent controls, and preferably weather sealing and usb charging. It'll be a while until I will be able to afford it, as the launch price will probably not be far off a thousand Euros, but if Nikon really tries on this one, it could be very close to my ultimate travel camera.

Panasonic TZ100 also looks very appealing as a companion on the tele side of things.

If I ever find myself with a bunch of cash to spare, an X100T to gain the wifi and usb charging capabilities that would transform my X100 into the ultimate single focal length camera for on the road.

Other than that... nothing really...

"DL24-85" "DL18-50" are relatively compact, but they are a little thicker when compared to the RX100 and G7X. DL24-500 is quite a large size similar to P900.

Still there is no review of TZ100 yet... At least there are some samples:

Yup, the new Nikon one-inch sensor compacts and the Panny TZ100 have my attention as well. If the Nikons have WR and aren't too large, they might be very hard to resist

It's that Pentax K1 for me, with 15-30mm wide angle zoom to start, followed by a 24-70mm or Sigma 35mm Art prime to go with it. I've even been thinking about the 70-200 which would have previously been unthinkable due to the size. I've always laughed smugly at people with G.A.S but this is the worst case of it I've had in 3 years. Not sure what's got into me.

The same as it has been for a while now. A 1" or above sensor, 24-120 eq zoom, decent EVF and preferably a tilting screen. The Canon G5X is the nearest yet to fulfilling that list. The TZ100 looks cool too but not sure whether the EVF is good enough. Meantime I'm saving up for an Olympus 12-40/2.8 lens to go on my E-M10.

Some more fast glass for my m43 cameras, like the Panasonic Nocticron, the Sigma 18-35, Sigma 50/1.4, maybe that new 50-100 zoom that has been announced. I'm investing in a lot of m43 glass, and good Canon mount glass that can be adapted to m43 cameras as well as used on a future Canon body, assuming that Canon makes something that I like again.

Not sure this is a "wish list" but have been shopping an UWA option for my Sony a6000, and then the NikonDL18-50 popped up. Already have a Sony RX100, and appreciate the reach to 100mm sometimes, and have settled into Sony controls. But 18-50 in a compact? Hmmm...

edit: On the (very silly, to me) discussion about photons:

I was in NYC this weekend with just the RX100 and got a ton of awesome pics. I've got awesome pics with FF and with crop. I use equivalency FOR MYSELF to understand when I want DOF control. In terms of quality of output, I test the cameras myself and keep what I find useful. I stopped (or never started) counting photons, though if I need super high ISO, clearly larger crop or FF will get me there more than the RX100.

The new Nikons look interesting. But I would add a DL 40-120~150 f/2.8~4.0 with the macro feature and pair it with the DL18-50. I know the RX10 and FZ1000 would cover the range, but I'd want something smaller and lighter. It's shame Nikon hasn't released a set of reasonably faster zooms for the 1 system.

I would love to see Olympus or Panasonic could come out with a great 17/1.2 and 50/1.4 that don't give up on the size advantage of the MFTs system. I think that is possible given how small the Mitakon 25/0.95 is.
