The only comments I've actually had of my Storm Trooper relate to how well built and sturdy it feels. Someone even said it looks "professional" ... not a word about being ugly.
I guess the eartly reviewers never actually held one :)

Old Land Rovers and the Honda Element are most excellent. And I've never thought the K-01 is ugly. John, how many times have you actually hosed out that vehicle? :)
The hose-out-ability of the Element is a bit of an urban myth. I've mopped it out once or twice, but no hose. My old Jeep Wrangler, on the other hand, had drain plugs. I got bogged down in a mudhole up to my door knobs once and had to be winched out. Once on dry land, I pulled the drain plug and the gallon or four of water that had entered the cabin drained right out.

I've owned both the Land Rover and a Wrangler. The Wrangler is pretty water tight, the Land Rover drains well.

All true. But, given maintenance and operating costs for the Land Rover and Wrangler (as well as the fact that I really don't do a lot of serious off-roading anymore), I really wish Honda still made the Element. I didn't need it when it was in production. Today, I could go for one. I kind of like the Kia Soul but it's really not the same kind of vehicle.
