First day out with this lens. From f/2 and down, it’s great. Wide open, and it “glows”. Very dreamy soft focus double image kind of stuff.

Pre AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.4
My ~1970 f/1.4 50mm OM lens is nearly as bad as that wide open, Chris.
Apparently, the second and third versions improved greatly.
 
Not the seed you planted but this shot from summer, a Foxglove. M9 + Bertele at f/2.0

For the eagle-eyed who noticed that the lens is not noted in the specs under the photo it is because I had lens detection turned off. I did not then realize the Skyllaney Bertele is 6-bit encoded and can be read by Leicas as such. Lens detection is turned on now. And the Bertele is on an M240 now.
