So outside of the obvious, what exactly is this thread for that the other animal one doesn’t cover? If the people posting zoo pics in that thread just put them in the zoo thread instead, doesn’t this one become redundant, or am I not thinking this through correctly?

No worries Chris. The other thread also includes domestic animals that aren't in a zoo. Nothing wrong with that. Mike and I, and maybe some others, would like a thread that is only wild animals.
