Nikon Showcase wildflower hike on a sunny day

We had a great hike on the long weekend last week with perfect weather - for a hike...
Blue sky, sun and a cool breeze... which also meant taking photos in midday sun almost all day :)

The Nikon 24-120mm (that I got with the D750 last year) is not a great lens (Olympus' four-thirds 12-60mm is a lot better), but the extended dynamic range of the D750 made me pick up the Nikon on that day... (I still had the Olympus E-M1 mk2 along for the ride with the 75-300mm)

You certainly have some stunning scenery around you. I have to drive about 3 hours to our eastern highlands to see scenery like that.
These subalpine meadows were a two and a half hours drive for us too...

There's indeed wonderful nature much closer to Vancouver, but you won't be able to escape the crowds... You'll have to look at those places as natural city parks...
