Cranesbill I think it is, possibly a hedgerow cranesbill. Thank you for your help Brian.Well done Charles.
I'll hazard a guess (having looked in my Wild Flowers of Britain and Ireland book) that it's Round-Leaved Cranesbill, whose flowers are usually 10 -12mm across.
I stand corrected! I'm certainly no expert and focused too much on simply the shape and number of petals searched for primose and found a photo that resembled these.No, definitely not primroses.
