The bottom photograph really knocked my socks off, so I reached out to the photographer and asked what gear he used for that photo. Answer: a Sony R1. He made the shot in 2009.

the third one kinda blows my mind. I would have guessed it was a composite for sure. That must have been an epic storm.

Mitch was featured in Lenswork which is a photography magazine put out by Brooks Jensen. It's one of my few subscriptions, but worth it in my opinion. I don't subscribe to the magazines full of gear ads with the odd story thrown in.
