I made an outing on Tuesday morning and got out a bit later than I wanted but I still caught the morning light and the unfreezing ... for the lowly cost of being sick now, sitting for 5 hours in -5 C (I'm not what I used to be, I grew up in -20 C winters back in Romania).

The path looked extra interesting when the sunrise blasts heat and sunlight onto a frozen forest.

This is one of my favourite images from that morning, though it was well past 12:00, there was steam coming off the stream and the sunlight was blasting sunshafts through the trees. It's a 122 MP panorama at 180mm f 2.8 because I wanted to compress the elements for a depth effect (to give it a more secluded and hidden feeling to it), though the panorama was a lot bigger (455 MP) I cropped in because I couldn't find any other aspect ratio to crop into in the end.
