Shortly after I got my X10 I began a series of architectural photos shot in alleyways. The same qualities that make it a great little camera for street photography also make it idea for alley work. It's inconspicuous and quiet, and with a wrist strap it draws almost no attention. The people who work (or hang out) in alleys are often pretty camera shy, and the owners of the buildings tend to be suspicious of photographers. But having a small but versatile camera allows me to wander about in alleys at all hours and get the sort of architectural images I'm looking for.
