Background to my question:
I'm interested in landscape photography and have recorded a photo of a typical county scene on a clear, sunny day.
Lens is the 18 - 55mm XF set at 18mm and with the OIS on and aperture priority mode with f/11 set.
With the ISO fixed at 200 (i.e non-auto) the exposure (multi mode) was 1/105 sec and iso 200
With ISO AUTO (MSS 1/60sec, max ISO 6400, Base iso 200) exposure was 1/400sec, iso 800.
My puzzle - why does the auto ISO favour such a higher than needed ISO value? It seems to have a definite tendency for high iso values instead of more desirable values closer if not equal to the base level.
Cheers
