I took a lighter load to Disney this year but was very pleased with the aforementioned kit. The 35 was great at night and the telezoom was surprisingly sharp for the economy model. The XE3, however, was really great to use. I've taken the Pen F to the same places before and even without IBIS I was happier with my XE3 results. These are with the 35 1.4:

Great series of images. Looks like the kit worked for you.

Did you feel you missed out not having anything on the wide end?

We're headed to Disney next week. I'll be taking the GR3 and my A7ii w/ 28/35/55 lenses. Fairly small kit, but nothing on the long end. I have the Sony 85, and even though smallish, would likely be more of a hassle to carry vs the amount of time I actually use it.

Except for the Animak Kingdom, I used the 35. The animals do require some reach, however. Maybe just look at the critters (except for the close ones) and save photography for a zoo trip. The 50-230 is surprisingly light.

I just noticed I hadn’t commented on your question about wide angles. There are certainly many wide angle opportunities. The whole place is like a farm for postcard shots. But I like to shoot the details because they pay attention to details and there’s a lot to pick from. To be honest, as long as you can take family shots, you could go in there with anything from ultra wide to short tele (or longer for the Animal Kingdom) and fill an SD card with good stuff. For me, it’s a normal and a light telezoom. :D Disney Springs, the eateries/shops/street music area, is great for street-type phography, especially at night when they light it up.
