Fuji X-Pro1, twilight, 6400 iso

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Feel free to ask questions, just try to make sure they are not already covered here, thx.

X-Pro1 settings: Provia/standard, jpeg, all settings at 0

Lightroom 4: Exported as long edge 1000px, jpeg quality 88

Straight OOC. If there is any LR4 PP I will note it under the image.

There are some 1:1 crops for your scrutiny.

I was out shopping, the sun had set and I thought it was a good time to test the high iso capability of the X-Pro1. Nothing special about the shots, just walking around a parking lot.

I started at 1600, then 3200, still couldn't make out much noise looking at the shots in the EVF or LCD so I cranked it up to 6400.

Focus was fine, only failed to quickly lock first time with one image, on overhead sodium vapor parking lot light about 40' up. It locked on the second attempt.

Note worthy was shooting with the OVF. So much better than an EVF that turns to pixelated poo in low light.

Love the first image with no processing! The flower shot is amazing for such a high ISO photo. I'm so old school I have a hard time getting away from ISO 200!

These were Provia/standard which is lower contrast than say Velvia.

Velvia would be a good choice for straight OOC, no PP.

Provia/standard being lower contrast gives more wiggle room with DR. Probably a better choice for RAW / PP, which is what I am used to.

Thx 4 looking.

With those restaurants, I assume close to where you live, you might as well be in my back yard, and yet those palm trees aren't local that's for sure!
