Fuji X10 and dust

With the new X20 the X10 is being offered at increasingly attractive prices. However, I have heard a suggestion that the zoom mechanism might siphon dust into the internals.

Is there any truth in this - I intend to use the camera in a dusty climate, and this would be a significant negative for me.

I've had my X10 for close to a year now and haven't had any problems with dust ... despite using it in some VERY dusty locations where the camera was covered in fine dust/dirt.
