Really??? I don't honestly get that. Any good color file of an image that's well suited for B&W is as good as any other I think. Obviously, camera's have different characteristics - the X100 has a level of smooth subtlety that I don't see in much else, the Olympus m43 cameras have fairly stunning clarity in a lot of shots, the GRD series has their own filmy look. And the X10 makes very nice files that convert well and is as good as any. But I can't say any of my cameras is better for B&W than any other. I guess I could say that not all of them are equally good for color, but I don't think one is better than another for B&W - just sort of different...I was SO tempted to get the GRD3 or 4 as the B&W images were SO good from that camera but the X10 is really proving it's worth and is by far the best for B&W that i have.
