mike, dont get me wrong, the xt1 is a fine camera. i too wanted the 'extraordinary' evf i had read about. imo--and i stress opinion--it is vastly overrated. i had an rx1 with external vf that was eons better than the xt1 in coverage and accuity. i have had many many evfs and i honestly cannot understand what all the fuss is about concerning the xt1. if that is the main reason youre thinking of it, i highly recommend you find some way to try it out first.

also, if you have the original x100, as i do, you should also be aware that the xt1 xtrans sensor renders differently. i had an xpro1 and found the differences too much for me to enjoy. the xt1 is better, but i still prefer the x100 bayer sensor rendering.
