I used to have those same AKGs. Stupid punk rock roommate blew 'em out and I've never had a nice set of headphones since

Yup, me too. I shoot raw with every camera I own or have owned recently, EXCEPT the X100, X10, and X-Pro. Even when I had the X100 with really good raw support, I just couldn't improve on the jpegs when I shot raw. The jpegs are great as is and take additional processing really well - they seem to have far more latitude than most jpeg files and a few smaller sensor raw files. I don't understand how they do that, but I don't much care either. I just use 'em and like 'em.
