Fuji X100T video question

I've taken a few shot videos with my X100 & X100T. This week while on SILENT MODE, I took a shot video. When I uploaded to my phone, there was no sound.

While I have black gaffers tape on the camera, the front microphones are uncovered. Does shooting video on silent mode mute sound?

Good question. I should really do a few tests, hadn't thought of that myself.
