Leica Yet another new Voigtlander lens (COLOR-SKOPAR 35mm F3.5 Aspherical)

This looks to be another very tempting lens from Voigtlander. Geez it is small, comes with a nice hood and filter.

Sort of seems like a Summaron doesn't it. Again, as regards new/ current lenses, with the quality of these 3rd party options you really have to want the badge to justify getting a Leica lens these days (that Voigtlander 90mm F2 APO has been released too hasn't it?).

With the noteable difference that even the smallest available Summaron 3.5mm f/3.5 is clearly bigger and heavier; mine's 22mm deep (including the LTM-to-M adapter) by my own measurement and weighs 159g on my scales. Of course, my Summaron's also single-coated, has only spherical elements and a pleasing, but distinctly "classic" rendering with low contrast and wild flares wide open. I love that lens and its rendering, but a universally useful 35mm it is not.

Even though my next Voigtländer purchase will most likely be the Nokton 28mm f/1.5 for Z mount, this Color-Skopar 35mm f/3.5 looks right up my alley ...

This is just my kind of lens. I like all of the Color Skopar line, I'm glad they keep them up and innovate on them! Also a little disappointed that they're not making an LTM version. While I don't own any M-mount cameras, I've often considered a Leica III-series or even a Bessa-L for cheap fun. This would be great on the Bessa-T that I used to own.
