Your "One Camera" - Rivals to the Throne Will Be Eliminated

ok, I see your a "zoomer", I am more a "primer" ;-) I have already checked all the green on the other side
A setup with an ulta wide angle - something below 24mm (135) the 35mm f 2 on (135) as an "normal" and something 75mm up to 105mm as a portrait
is in a small bag .

Interesting...

If it is just for the next five years, I would probably stick with the K1. The kit I have does everything I really need in a camera. Since that means selling the fpL kit, that would free me up to get another lens. I really need a replace the 60-250 with a new telephoto, so I would either look for one of the Sigmas that reach 500. Or resign myself to the Pentax 300 f/4.

I think I could manage to lug the weight around for that long.

On the other hand, if I all of my current gear could be sold for the price of that new Fuji GFX100FR, I would be pretty tempted to go that route, if only for a short time. It would be limiting, but that could also spur creativity.
I really like the idea of downsizing by selling all your stuff and buying a GFX100RF. 🫡

Well... for practicality and versatility, it would have to be one of my two current Olympiii - probably the E-M5.iii (because of its compactness, that I truly value).
But making the decision based on practicality or versatility sounds boring so... it would have to be the X-T5. Because of its insanely wonderful capabilities in the currently evolving Fujiholic universe of 'recipes' and SOOC film simulations which (warning: confession follows) I'm addicted to. Although, on second thought - or is it actually 3rd thought? - I might have to pick my Pentax KP. Because of its build quality, its unbelievably (to me, at least) high ISO capabilities... but mostly because more than any other camera I've used in years, it reminds me (in both expected and unexpected ways) of the ancient film Pentaxes that were my constant companions for several analog decades.

Is it permissible to have a photographic equivalent of M.P.D.? (Multiple.Personality.Disorder) Thus if I say I'm choosing only one camera - it also depends on which of my (multiple) personalities is doing the choosing on A.G.D. (Any.Given.Day) or, more likely, at A.G.H. (Any.Given.Hour)

And we really mean that.
Ooops... I mean I do.
Eye do.

If I had to go with just one, it would be the OM-1.2 or the OM-3. The OM-3 would require an add-on grip, but the OM-1 is bigger than I would really want as my only.

Lenses:
  • Pro 8-25 / 12-45 / 12-100 / 20
  • OM 17 1.8
  • Sigma 56
  • The new Pro is rumored to be released later this year or the 100-400 II.
  • If I went with the OM-3, I'd also pick up a Pan 14 and maybe the Pan 12-32.
My Fuji X-T5 is an option, but if I have to pick one system, OM lenses are a better match for my needs. A Nikon Z (Z6III or Z7II) could be an option. I often wonder if I would have kept it if I had looked at the Z6II instead of the Z7II a couple of years ago.
