My month was unusually good. Hard to pick only three, but gotta try. :)

I shot about equally film and digital in May, but a great majority of my top favourites turn out to be black and white film shots. Is there something wrong with me? :D

I've been working through the 24K+ images shot on my wildlife trip to Costa Rica in May. Here's what I have so far:

This little fella would have just covered my palm and outstretched fingers if I'd been foolish enough to try and pick it up.

Long-tailed Hermit Hummingbird by Graham Moore, on Flickr
This isn't necessarily the best hummingbird shot but I like the head being so clear and the rest devolving into a blur.

Masked Tityra With Snail by Graham Moore, on Flickr
This is probably my favorite that I've uploaded to Flickr so far.

I'm certainly not a Birder (Google provides quick identification) but learned a lot about paying close attention to depth of field with really high magnification lenses on this trip. I also really appreciate what we can accomplish with high ISO and still get usable images. The little viper was shot at ISO 12,800.
