waiting for a battery to charge and looking at the light on the charger from the other every 10 minutes
I thought that EVF was a perfect system to make sure you make the correct exposure. Yet after going back to OVF and the occasionally back to EVF I start to see how often it is my EVF exposure that's off by a stop and the OVF exposures are better... Hmm!

There is something liberating in being able to just apply your knowledge of the principles of exposure while using an OVF.

Yes. It is almost as if there's an aspect of craftmanship to the photography again!
Slightly queasy - the new Progressive glasses came in today. Which way am I supposed to look?

Thanks! I've been learning the "tilt chin" maneuver so I can read at closer range using the bottom half of the lenses. It'll get better I suppose. Muscle memory is slower the older I get.

Well I figured them out...mostly. Still teaching myself to tilt-chin. And I needed to buy these little "wedges" (actually O-rings) to fit on the ear clips - part of the problem is that the ear clips aren't bent enough coming out of the laboratory. I'll have to go around and see if any optometrists can adjust them for me on-site. The glasses were slipping down and exacerbating my 1st few weeks with them.
